Creating a warm and welcoming space where everyone, regardless of background or affiliation, feels at home and inspired to deepen their connection to Judaism.

Based on the latest Jewish Federation report, over 10,000 Jews live in the Greater Capitol Hill area, yet East DC remains one of the most underserved Jewish areas in Washington, DC, with many lacking access to meaningful Jewish resources, community and support.

The Lamplighters Society is a circle of wonderful monthly partners help build a warm Jewish future in East DC through Shabbat dinners, holidays, classes, and community care, Built on the belief that every Jew automatically belongs, without barriers, labels, or membership dues.

Let's make Jewish life open and accessible to all. Whether it's locals, students, interns, visitors or anyone who wishes to connect.
