Our mission is simply to enhance your life and build a supportive vibrant Jewish community.
We are the Capitol Hill hyper-local branch of American Friends of Lubavitch (Chabad) - the representative in our nation's capital of the international Chabad-Lubavitch movement, with over 3,500 centers in all 50 states and more than 80 countries. Each emissary couple worldwide is dedicated to understanding the unique needs, challenges and strengths of their community and to being a source of Jewish learning, celebration and support. We are based on Capitol Hill and cater to the growing neighborhoods in East DC, and we are so excited to be here!
The Lubavitcher Rebbe, of blessed memory, is our mentor and the driving force behind all we do. He sent emessaries all over the world with these ideas in mind:
